Accident compensation claim in the pipeline for Apprentice star

A former star of The Apprentice is looking into an accident compensation claim after he suffered injuries in a road accident.

The candidate on the 2008 series of the show was shopping in London when he was involved in the accident. A lorry backed into a wall near which he was standing, prompting the structure to fall on top of the victim.

After laying trapped for several minutes under the rubble, he was eventually removed but left with a number of problematic injuries.

His leg was crushed and required surgical treatment to repair it, and several infections are thought to have caused further difficulties during the healing period.

The injured man, who was one of the first to be 'fired' by Lord Alan Sugar on the programme, is now suing the driver and the owners of the lorry for compensation for pain and suffering, as well as medical treatment and loss of earnings.

The case is set to be heard at the High Court, according to the Evening Standard, and although the amount of compensation being sought is unknown, it is expected to be substantial.
