A number of injured bus passengers in Bristol might want to consider making an accident compensation claim after a bus they were on struck a tree and lost its roof.
A total 18 people were injured when the double-decker bus lost its roof in the incident on Monday, October 24, seven of whom were taken to hospital, the BBC reported.
One spokesperson for the First Bus company told the news agency that it had teams on the scene to help out and work “with the relevant authorities to determine exactly what happened”.
She added: “Our thoughts are currently with those people who were on the bus at the time of the incident and their friends and family.”
The incident occurred on Fishponds Road in Bristol just after 07:40 BST. Great Western Ambulance Service was called to the scene to help people out at the crash. The crews stated that the majority of those injured had head injuries, but asserted that nobody was seriously wounded.
However, the road still had to be closed for several hours, but it was reopened just before midday to allow traffic flows to return to normal at the location.
